12:45-13:00 Dystopia (Community Music) Dystopia are a band currently working with Community Music,  a youth & community music organisation based in East London that aims to make quality music-making accessible to all, regardless of financial means, experience, disability or previous qualifications.

13:15-13:45 Nick Makoha Poet Nick Makoha was shortlisted for the 2017 Felix Dennis Prize for Best First Collection. His poems appear in anthologies such as Being Human, Seven New Generation African Poets, Ten: New poets from Spread the Word, and numerous magazines including The Poetry Review, Rialto, and the Boston Review. He lives in London.

13:45-14:00 Embrace Dance UK Embrace Movements aims to Inspire, motivate and help young people develop their physical skills, we hope to build an appreciation of the arts in Tower Hamlets using dance and other forms of movement as a platform.

16:00-16:15 Coldfire Talk + Open mic for workshop participants A talk from the festival organisers followed by performances from Adisa’s spoken word workshop earlier in the day.

16:15-16:30 Transform UK + Embrace Dance Young vocalists from Transform UK, a charity with the aim to bring Transformational Love to the poorest parts of the UK through Education, Community and Enterprise Programmes. Followed by more dance from Embrace Dance UK.

16:30-16:45 Priscilla Hernandez Priscilla is a 24-year-old spoken word artist from South East London. Her poetry entails a powerful expression of her personal experiences, as well as those of others. She aims to create social impact and empower others through her words.

16:45-17:00 Open Mic

17:00-17:15 Adisa Adisa was born with a silver tongue and a head full of rhymes. His mango flavoured metaphors and his larva-fuelled performances soon became legendary on the London performance poetry circuit. One year after taking his show on the road, Adisa landed first place in a National competition titled New Performance Poet of the Year. 

17:15-18:00 Dom Search (The Nextmen) As both a solo DJ and one half of The Nextmen, Dom has played eclectic club sets rooted in Hip Hop but encompassing Dancehall, Funk, House and Garage, for over a decade.

13:30-14:00 Charlie Dark Writing Workshop (13yrs +) Charlie Dark is a DJ, creative influencer and poet from East London. He founded the highly successful Run Dem Crew in 2007, an alternative running club made up of creative minds. Through his poetry, community activism and initiatives with Run Dem Crew he has created a space for people of all ages to come to explore their full potential. Charlie will be running writing workshops, with an option for young people to read on stage later on in the day if they want to. Instagram.

15:00-16:00 Harky Kalsi Lettering Workshop Harky is a graphic designer and illustrator working and living in London. She currently works as a graphic designer at Comic Relief and her evenings and weekends are taken up with her passion of hand lettering as well as running marathons or cycling.

16:00-17:00 Reuben Christian: Motivational  Workshop Comedian @reubenchristian1 will be hosting a quick @dreamrehab session at the festival this weekend! Experiencing fear when trying new things? Want to start a new job or action an idea that’s been on the back burner for aaaages? 😕 The workshop brings us together in a safe place. We’ll learn that our fear is normal and how to overcome perfectionism, procrastination and overwhelm in easy and PRACTICAL ways, while having a laugh on route 😆 Official Website.

17:00-18:00 The Heros Journey Improv Theatre Workshop Do you like comedy and fantasy? Learn how to make an improvised Fairy Tale with you and your friends. The Hero’s Journey is offering a one hour workshop for folks 12 and up where you can learn to tell a High Fantasy story full of wacky characters and big adventures! First performed as part of The Nursery Theatre’s Originals Programming in 2018, THJ is a high fantasy improvised play. The cast of THJ will lead you through fun exercises and teach you how to improvise your own stories

We focus on individual Asana, Vinyasa, structural alignment, refining mental and emotional patterns, relaxation and meditation. I also have nine years experience in teaching yoga for children. 13:00-14:00 Valerian Spicer Boxfit Workshop + Talk ‘I did not enter a boxing gym until the age of 30, initially just to keep fit. Despite the late start I dedicated the next 8 years of my life to boxing, taking part in 64 bouts, beating 3 Olympians and becoming a world ranked international boxer in the process. Listening Place The Listening Place was conceived in 2015 and set up in 2016 in London, by a group of volunteers with a great deal of experience in supporting the suicidal. They had recognised that there is little on going face-to-face support available for many people with chronic suicidal feelings, and that some of this support can be given by well trained and professionally supervised volunteers.
